Hypnobirthing and Breathe Classes now running in Harpenden, St Albans and surrounding areas…

Mike | April 12th, 2010 - 8:53 pm

If you’re anything like most pregnant couples you’ve probably only recently been exposed to terms such as Hypnobirthing, Hypnobabies, Ante-Natal Class, Pregnancy Yoga, Pregnancy Acupuncture, Pregnancy Reflexology, Birth Doula, Midwife, Homebirth, Birthing Center and may even be a little confused as to what they all mean and how you can benefit from them.

Well, you can BREATHE a big sigh of relief now as I add another to the list (hehe) seriously though, you can check out my post on deciphering Birth Preparations where I explain what all of these terms mean for you!

But, here is the great news for those living in Hertfordshire or close by.  The increasingly popular Hypnosis for Birth (Hypnobirthing) and Breathe to a Better Birth (Brainchild of Karen Mander) are now available from Naturnal Instinct

Karen Mander is a Hypnobirthing  Teacher and founder of Breathe to a Better Birth. She had her son at home, age 44 peacefully in just 6 hours and passionately believes that a calm, joyful birth is available to all – first time and returning mums.  Karen has been running the Breathe classes at The Special Yoga Centre, Kensal rise; Earthlife, Kew Bridge; and at her private studio in Cricklewood.  We are now pleased to announce that she has now expanded her reach to St Albans with the help of BTABB Teachers Gwendoline Barber and Mike Williams following their successful homebirth using this technique.

Check out the Classes page for times, dates and bookings!

“Dear Karen, Just want to thank you for giving me the amazing techniques That helped me through a wonderful birth” - Vicky, Midwife, St Mary’s (1st Birth)

“Although the labour was long and not without its challenges, the techniques we learnt with you and the confidence it gave us meant we still had a positive birth experience with only a bit of gas and air – something I could not have contemplated before we started” - Francesca (1st Birth)

“I’m over the moon. These techniques helped me put my previous negative birth experiences to one side and achieve the birth I had always dreamed of. Your calmness and ability to help me come away from the anxiety and fear was inspirational” – Camilla, (3rd Birth)
