When you think of childbirth what comes to mind? Bright lights… screaming… legs in stirrups… an audience of medics…. pain… ?
If so then you’re not alone. In fact these are the images that have been conditioning our way of viewing birth in the western world since birth became medicalised around the 1950′s, so it’s no wonder that so many women have negative associations with the idea of giving birth. The truth is, and we know this from first hand experience, that childbirth can (and should) be a calm, intimate, magical, pain free, celebration of new life and a woman’s right of passage.
Hypnotherapy directly accesses your subconscious mind where all of these conditioned limiting beliefs are held and changes them. You will learn how to enter self-hypnosis easily and how to remain calm during all the stages of labour no matter what is happening around you. These techniques give you and your partner the tools to approach childbirth confidently and positively, so that you can have the birth that you desire.
There are a number of hypnosis based methodologies for childbirth, such as Hypnobirthing; Natal Hypnotherapy and The Jeyarani Method all of which we have had exposure to. Also, we have trained in Pain-free childbirth hypnotherapy and are accredited Breathe to a Better Birth coaches. Utilising all of this knowledge we offer a bespoke Hypnotherapy course which will educate, inspire and motivate you and your partner preparing you both for a calm and positive birth experience.
Some of our clients like us to work one-on-one with them whereas others prefer to organise a group of friends, who are also expecting. We are always flexible and are happy to discuss reduced rates for group bookings. We have deliberately decided not to work from a specific venue due to the additional cost that we would have to pass on to our clients and due to the challenge in finding a venue with a suitable atmosphere.

Breathe to a Better Birth
created by Karen Mander, this one-off workshop teaches you and your birth partner powerful breathing techniques to reach a profound state of relaxation for birth. When we learn how to focus and calm our breath we can control the fear that causes discomfort and pain in childbirth.
These classes are an excellent and practical complement to other birth preparation methods and will help you to cope better with life’s daily stresses and demands.
Gwendoline & Mike used this technique during the birth of their first son, Archie and have been teaching it ever since.
